Ranjit Bhattacharjee

EVP & Chief Investment Officer

Ranjit Bhattacharjee serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for Mr. Cooper Group where he oversees capital markets and correspondent lending.

With more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Ranjit joined Mr. Cooper Group in May 2024 after serving as EVP and Head of Capital Markets and Correspondent Lending at Wells Fargo Home Lending, where his responsibilities included secondary marketing, strategic quality management, product management, revenue and pricing and correspondent lending. Prior to Wells Fargo, Ranjit held senior positions with Caliber Home Loans as the Head of Capital Markets, Treasury and Correspondent Lending and with Citi Mortgage leading capital markets, correspondent sales and mortgage servicing.

Ranjit earned his master’s degree in mathematics from Technical University Aachen in Germany and a doctorate in mathematics from Boston University.
